The Intersection of Behavior Change and Health System Strengthening in Global Health

Session Date: April 21, 2021

Session Description: How is social and behavior change (SBC) related to health system strengthening (HSS) work? What examples are there from the field for incorporating behavior change approaches and metrics into HSS projects? This session features a panel of behavior change and HSS practitioners who will provide an overview of why behavior is important for HSS and why the health system needs to be considered in developing behavior change programs. Time will be allocated for questions and for the audience to share their insights around opportunities and lessons learned for embedding behavior change approaches and metrics into health system strengthening programs.
