Using Index Based Testing Framework to Explain Steps of Assisted Partner Notification and Assess Barriers to Implementation
Index testing- and partner notification-related services represent a critical component of a strategy for meeting the 90-90-90 goals. In this session, participants will hear a brief overview of the World Health Organization guidelines on partner notification services (PNS). This presentation will be followed by a presentation on how to use the index- based testing flowchart to explain steps of APN and assess barriers to implementation of the strategy. Participants will then be divided into small groups (~5-7 each) and guided through an exercise in which they will use the framework to identify bottlenecks and implementation challenges and suggest solutions to support PNS in reaching more people with HIV testing services (HTS).
