Social Norms Change Interventions: The Benefits for Cross-Sectoral Health Programs
“Social norms,” “integration” and “cross-sectoral” are all buzzwords that are gaining momentum in and outside of global health. But what are social norms? And how are they relevant to cross-sectoral integrated programming?
Participants will walk away from this session being able to define social norms and interventions/approaches for normative change. Through engagement with case studies and group discussion, participants will look at program design for, and achievements of, normative change interventions in the health sector. Participants will explore opportunities for cross-sector normative change programming that aims to achieve both health and sector-specific outcomes.
