Multi-Country Analysis for Inpatient Care of Newborns and Young Infants
A multi-partner collaborative assessment that will describe national enabling environment, facility level readiness, quality of care and insights of care providers and clients is underway in multiple African and Asian countries. The assessment is an in-depth exploration of national profiles, structure of the health system, process of care at facilities and service delivery insights from providers and clients with a particular focus on inpatient care for newborn and young infants (NYI). We will share preliminary results from Rwanda that will identify strengths and weaknesses in systems and services, identify cross-national similarities and difference, recommend how to update/develop strategic plan and identify specific interventions for improving NYI care services. The session will provide the latest global developments and critical challenges of addressing inpatient care for sick NYI.
