Improving Equity in Health by Improving Measurement of Wealth: 2 Tools

Session Date: April 24, 2021

Session Description: Health projects are often challenged to determine where and how to deploy their limited resources. Identifying ‘the poor’ and developing strategies to close health-related equity gaps requires rigorous measurement of wealth. This session will share two tools developed to assess wealth: The EquityTool and the Asset to Income Estimator. It will then provide a practical application of using the EquityTool in the Suaahara II project in Nepal to collect data from over 10 million households and use that information to plan program resources.
