Diagnosing Inequity in Family Planning Programs: A Tool for Policy, Funding, and Programming Decisions
Session Date: April 23, 2021
Session Description: To support countries in the next phase of family planning (FP) commitment-making, costed implementation plan development, advocacy initiatives and more, the USAID-funded HP+ project developed the FP Equity Tool. This tool allows users to easily identify and visualize who is experiencing inequities, for what components of programming, and where those disparities exist. During this session, HP+ will introduce participants to the FP Equity Tool and provide a hands-on, step-by-step tutorial of its application to a new country, generating national and subnational results. This session will focus on equipping participants with the practical knowledge and skills needed to quantify and visualize inequity in family planning programs within their focus countries.
