Beyond the Lab: How Tackling Global AMR Requires Good Governance, Country Ownership and a One Health Approach

Session Description: Join DAI’s antimicrobial resistance (AMR) experts in an engaging conversation on the emerging crisis of AMR and antimicrobial use (AMU) in low- and middle-income countries. The panelists will encourage attendees to think past that lab and understand the importance of a coordinated effort when working to make an impact on reducing AMR and AMU. Case studies in Pakistan and Nigeria will be presented to explain the importance of using a One Health approach and how it’s building a model for better management of antimicrobials in human and animal health.
